Coverage

Four lines. One Risk Protection Package.

Life if you die. Disability if you cannot work. Long-term care if you need years of help. Annuities if you need a paycheck you cannot outlive. We ask the same question of every household: Is your Risk Protection Package current and up to date?

Life

Life insurance

Who still has bills if you die?

Life insurance is the first piece of a Risk Protection Package, not the whole package. It pays when income stops because a life ended. We size it to mortgages, children, a partner, a buy-sell, or an estate — then we stop. A round million is not a plan.

  • Income and mortgage replacement
  • Estate and trust liquidity
  • Key-person and buy-sell

Income years

Term life

Term is the most efficient way to buy a large death benefit while the people who depend on you still need it. When the term ends, coverage ends unless you convert or replace it. We size the period to the job the policy has to do.

Permanent

Whole life

Whole life is a contract, not a bet. Premiums, death benefit, and cash value are defined. Families use it for estate liquidity, to equalize inheritances, and as a conservative complement to invested assets.

Flexible permanent

Universal life

Universal life (including indexed designs) is a tool for people whose picture will not stay still. Flexibility is the benefit. It is also the risk. We model the policy, not the illustration, and we review it on a schedule.

Second-to-die

Survivorship

When the planning problem is what the estate owes after both spouses are gone, survivorship coverage is usually the cleanest answer. We place it inside the estate plan, next to the attorney and the CPA.

Owners & key people

Business life

Closely held companies stall without one or two people. We draft the insurance to the agreement: cross-purchase or entity purchase, key-person indemnity, and executive benefit designs — whether the firm is on Main Street or spread across states.

Disability

Disability insurance

Who pays the bills if you cannot work?

Disability insurance belongs in every Risk Protection Package built around a working income. Group LTD at work is a start, not a finish — it is often taxable, capped, and weaker on own-occupation definitions. We place individual own-occ coverage, business overhead, and buy-sell disability so the household and the firm can both keep the lights on.

  • Own-occupation income
  • Business overhead expense
  • Buy-sell disability funding

Individual income

Own-occupation DI

Group LTD often defines disability as any occupation after a short own-occ period, and benefits may be taxable. Individual own-occupation coverage is the piece most physicians, attorneys, and owners are missing. We place it while you are still insurable.

The firm’s bills

Business overhead

Personal DI replaces your draw. It does not pay the office lease. Business overhead expense insurance keeps a practice intact through a recovery so there is still a firm to return to.

Owner exit

Disability buy-sell

Most buy-sell agreements mention death and go quiet on disability, which is the more common career-ending event. We fund the agreement for both, with a waiting period and a definition the attorney will accept.

Long-term care

Long-term care

Who pays if you need care for years?

Care is expensive in every market we work. Medicare does not pay for custodial care. A Risk Protection Package that ignores long-term care is a package that bets the house on staying healthy. We place traditional LTC, hybrid life/LTC, and annuity designs with care riders — and we say so when self-funding is the honest answer.

  • Traditional LTC policies
  • Hybrid life with LTC riders
  • Annuity care benefits

Dedicated care

Traditional LTC

Traditional long-term care is still the most efficient dollar of care benefit when you can qualify and will pay the premium. Partnership policies in many states can also protect assets from Medicaid spend-down. We show the inflation rider in real numbers, not slogans.

Two jobs, one contract

Hybrid life / LTC

Hybrids answer the objection that traditional LTC is “use it or lose it.” Premiums are often paid over a short period. The trade is less care benefit per dollar. We place them when the household wants a death benefit either way.

Savings already there

Annuity with care

If the money is already saved, a care-leveraged annuity can put it to work without a new annual premium. Underwriting is often lighter than traditional LTC. It is a funding tool, not a substitute for a full care plan.

Annuities

Annuities

Will a paycheck still arrive when you stop working?

Annuities are not a synonym for high fees. Used cleanly, they are a paycheck you cannot outlive: immediate income, deferred income, indexed accumulation with a floor, or a QLAC inside an IRA. They sit in the Risk Protection Package next to Social Security and a portfolio — they do not replace either.

  • Lifetime income
  • Deferred and indexed designs
  • QLAC and IRA income

A paycheck

Income annuities

A SPIA starts now. A deferred income annuity or QLAC starts later, often with a larger check. These are insurance, not investments: you are buying a paycheck. We quote multiple carriers and show the income per thousand, period.

A floor

Fixed indexed annuities

Indexed annuities are often oversold. Used plainly, they are a conservative bucket with a floor, optional income riders, and no sequence-of-returns risk in the crediting period. We will not dress them up as a market substitute.

A rate, a term

Multi-year guaranteed

When the job is a known rate for a known term, a multi-year guaranteed annuity is the clean contract. We compare surrender schedules and carrier ratings the way we would compare a CD — without the extra riders you do not need.
